Yes, I am serious when I say Georgia baseball has the most wins in the SEC. If you are a fan of SEC baseball, Georgia is not the first team that jumps out to you but this year they are proving they are no joke. Georgia has a 28 and 6 record this year and a conference-best 9 and 3 in conference play. The Bulldogs started conference play hot by sweeping South Carolina and since then nobody has been able to beat them. They won the series between 9th ranked LSU, won the series against Kentucky, and won the series against 4th ranked Vanderbilt. Last week they got a huge win against Clemson and with there win against Georgia Tech last night they are currently ranked 2nd in the nation. They are on the road this weekend against the Tennessee Volunteers who are ranked 4th in the SEC east. With the way the Bulldogs have been playing they should have no problem beating the Volunteers who have been struggling this year. Since 2008 the Bulldogs have not been very relevant in college baseball. Since the bulldogs have 28 wins this season that is already more wins then they had all season two years ago when they only had 25 wins. Being a huge baseball fan I have always known that pitching wins games and Georgia head coach Scott Stricklin must believe that too. A new head coach can make or break a program and coach Stricklin has done nothing but improve this program. It has been a slow process but he has been getting top of the line recruits by improving there facility and winning more games. In 2017 they had the third best recruiting class and changes like that have made them into the team they are this year. Star pitchers Emerson Hancock and Tim Elliot both have an era under 1.05. Hitters are hitting below 150 against those two pitchers and they have combined for 93 strikeouts. With the way the Bulldogs pitching has been dominating everyone they play I see them making it all the way to Omaha. Pitching wins national championships and the Bulldogs pitchers are fearless and will not be stopped if they stay healthy.
