In the 2019 NFL Combine there were 90 SEC players that participated which was the most out of any power 5 conference. Some of the players included Alabama's running backs Damien Harris and Josh Jacobs who carried a heavy load this year for the Crimson Tide. Auburn's quarterback Jarret Stidham and wide receiver Darius Slayton who connected multiple times throughout the season through the long ball. Chauncey gardner-Johnson a defensive back out of the University of Florida made a major impact on defensive for the Gators. Georgia's star running back Elijah Holyfield, tight end Isaac Nauta, and wide receiver Riley Ridley all are expected to produce big numbers at the professional level. But one of the biggest names coming into the Combine has been DK Metcalf from Ole Miss. Metcalf put on an absolute show at the combine running a 4.33 40-yard dash, putting up 27 reps of 225 lbs on the bench press, and getting some hang time with a 40.5 inch vertical and a 11.2 foot broad jump. Raiders Head Coach Jon Gruden said, "I mean he looked like Jim Brown. He's the biggest wide out Ive ever seen. You have to ask yourself. Who is tackling this guy?" He is projected to be a top-10 pick in the 2019 NFL draft and is going to do nothing but impress for years to come.
